Andrea LaTorre, MD
Dr. LaTorre belongs to a number of professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Ohio State Medical Association. She is also a distinguished member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
She was born and raised near South Bend, Indiana and attended the University of Notre Dame. After graduating from Notre Dame, Dr. LaTorre earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine with honors. She completed her dermatology residency at The Ohio State University where she served as chief resident.
Dr. LaTorre has authored and presented over 17 scientific articles, posters, and lectures, which have appeared in dermatology journals and at local as well as national dermatology events. During medical school, she took a special interest in Melanoma awareness and research, participating in the National Melanoma Awareness project as well as creating an awareness video.
When Dr. LaTorre isn’t practicing dermatology, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children: Natalie, Ryan, and Josie. An admitted Fit Bit fanatic, she also spends time running and hiking. Traveling is another passion of hers having lived in London, England for a semester in college, as well as learning and working in a hospital in Kenya, Africa during medical school.
